Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Japan, South China Sea, to the Solomon Islands, Fiji, Great Barrier Reef and New Caledonia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow lower reef slopes and usually seen at depths between 15 to 65 feet (5 - 20 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the trade.
