Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Solomon Islands, New Guinea, and Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits holes and crevices among corals in local reefs and is usually found between depths of 50 to 130 feet (15 – 40 m) where it feeds on smaller fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 72 - 82° F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consist mainly of zooplankton and benthic crustaceans. Feed enriched meaty/freeze-dried foodstuffs once daily. Rarely seen in the trade, and somewhat aggressive to smaller fish. One per tank only.
