Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East coast of Africa to South China Sea and also to the Hawaiian Islands.

Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons and bays.

Aquarium Suitability: Not normally collected for the aquarium trade.

If available, not suited for the reef aquarium as it may eat small invertebrates such as mushroom anemones and is constantly on the search for food day and night. Will also feed upon filamentous algae.
