Range: Eastern Pacific Ocean: Baja California to Peru and the Galapagos Islands.

Size: 2 inches (5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits soft sandy coastal areas.

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home tropical aquarium trade.

Cool water species.

Unsuitable for most aquaria as it preys on worms and other gastropods.

A burrowing type carnivorous snail, and may be fitting in fish-only cool water aquariums with a very deep sand bed.
