Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Northern Madagascar northward to the Red Sea, Persian Gulf, Andaman Sea and south to western Australia and Solomon Islands.

Size: 3 inches (7 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow rocky and coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds on filamentous algae, various protozoan, and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
