Range: Pacific Plate: Southern Taiwan to Tuamotu Island; south to Tonga and throughout Micronesia.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits surge zones of coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 25 feet (1 – 8 m) where it feeds on filamentous algae, various protozoan, and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
