Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: South Africa to Tanzania, east to Pitcairn and the Hawaiian Islands, north to China, and south to the Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits alga ridges between surge channels on exposed reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 20 feet (1 – 6 m) where it feeds on filamentous algae, various protozoan, and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
