Range: Western Indian Ocean: Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea, south to Djetta, Saudi Arabia.

Size: 2 inches (5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhibits shallow coral reefs and usually found at depths between 30 – 100 feet (10 – 30 m) where it feeds on algae, various protozoan, and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
