Range: Northern Atlantic Ocean: Mediterranean.

Size: 22 inches (55 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits the upper level of sand in coastal areas.

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home tropical aquarium trade.

Has a temperature range of 50 to 65°F (10 - 16°C).

This is a cold-water sea star that feeds upon clams, snails and slugs.

Large and a vicious predator.

Better left in the wild.
