Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky shallow coastal areas and tidepools.
Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home tropical aquarium trade.
Simply not suitable for tropical aquariums, although sometimes shows up in the trade, and if so, should only be placed in cool water aquariums.
Has a temperature range of 50 to 68°F (10 - 20°C).
Feeds upon detritus and small invertebrate.
In warmer waters, arms fall off quite rapidly.
Best left in the wild.
