Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Hawaii.

Size: 8 inches (20 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reef areas and lagoons and found on rock and rubble areas covered in algae.

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Should it become available in the trade, aquarium husbandry would be similar to Echinothrix calamaris shown elsewhere in this section of the Species Library.
