Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Caribbean, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Cozumel.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy local shorelines and found buried in substrates during the day, yet at night is seen on the surface of the sand.

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Should it become available in the trade, aquarium husbandry would be similar to Clypeaster humilis shown elsewhere in this section of the Species Library.
