Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Eastern Africa to the Maldives, New Caledonia and the South Pacific Islands.

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow seagrass beds and rubble areas and usually seen at depths between 3 - 100 feet (1 - 30 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Neither collected nor suitable for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
