Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Comoros to Hawaii, north to Southern Japan, and south to Australia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy costal reefs and usually seen at depths between 3 - 65 feet (1 - 20 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Neither collected nor suitable for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
