Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Maldives to Indonesia and the Philippines, and north to China and Southern Japan.

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal seagrass beds, coral rubble and sandy areas and usually seen at depths between 3 - 100 feet (1 - 30 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Neither collected nor suitable for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
