Range: Indo-Pacific and Atlantic Oceans: Widespread.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits mangroves, seagrass beds, sandy and silty areas and usually seen at depths between 3 - 30 feet (1 - 10 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
