Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Hawaii, north to China, south to Australia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits seagrass beds and coral rubble areas and usually seen at depths between 3 - 30 feet (1 - 10 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
