Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Widespread.

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral rubble areas where it burrows into surrounding substrates and usually seen at depths between 3 - 30 feet (1 - 10 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
