Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and Madagascar to Easter Island.

Size: 24 inches (60 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy areas on inner and outer reefs and usually seen at depths between 3 - 150 feet (1 - 45 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
