Range: Northern Atlantic Ocean: Mediterranean.

Natural Environment: Inhabits a wide range of environments and depths, and known to exist at depths between 15 - 2500 feet (5 - 800 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
