Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Maldives to Indonesia, Palau and Papua New Guinea.

Size: 26 inches (65 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabit shallow hard bottom areas and usually seen at depths between 3 - 15 feet (1 - 5 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
