Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: South China Sea, south to Indonesia and the Philippines and northern Australia.

Size: 24 inches (60 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits outer reef slopes and usually seen at depths between 20 - 85 feet (6 - 25 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
