Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Hawaii.

Size: 48 inches (120 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabit sandy reef bottom areas and generally seen between the depths of 3 - 150 feet (1 - 45 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Sticky to the touch and feeds on detritus and organic matter, which is sifted from the substrate.

Nocturnal as it will generally hide during the daytime.

Even though they do not contain any harmful toxins, they usually perish within a few months in most captive situations, as they cannot get a sufficient amount of food.
