Range: Western Central Atlantic: North Carolina and Bermuda, south to Brazil, and Gulf of Mexico.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow rocky and coral reefs and usually found between depths of 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it mainly feeds upon filamentous algae and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not purposely collected for the trade. Yet care would be the same as for others in this genus.
