Range: Northwest Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan and adjacent Asian mainland.

Size: 16 inches (39 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal waters in rocky areas with seaweeds and usually found at depths between 3 – 85 feet (1 – 25 m) where it feeds on various forms of algae.

General Husbandry: Has a mottled reddish brown body. Not collected for the trade.
