Range: Indian Ocean: East Africa to southwest Indonesia, north to Andaman Sea.

Size: 28 inches (70 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow lagoons and seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 6 – 100 feet (2 – 30 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Adults have overall reddish brown to bluish green body depending upon location. Not collected for the trade.
