Range: Northeast Atlantic Ocean: Atlantic coast of Ireland to Morocco and also the Mediterranean Sea and Sea of Marmora.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow coastal seaweed areas and usually found between depths of 10 – 100 feet (3 – 30 m) where it mainly feeds upon algae and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.

Has a temperature range of 68 - 75°F (20 – 24°C).

Would not be safe in reef aquariums or with smaller tankmates.
