Range: Western Indian Ocean: Persian Gulf to southern coast of Oman.

Size: 20 inches (50 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal areas and usually found at depths between 3 – 85 feet (1 – 25 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
