Range: Eastern Atlantic Ocean: Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands, and Cape Verde.

Size: 20 inches (50 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky bottoms and usually found at depths between 65 – 700 feet (20– 210 m) where it feeds on benthic hard-shelled invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
