Range: Eastern Pacific Ocean: Gulf of California down to Peru and the Galapagos Islands.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow rocky and coral reefs and usually found at depths between 6 – 200 feet (2– 60 m) where it feeds mainly on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
