Range: Eastern Pacific Ocean: Gulf of California to Panama and the Galapagos Islands.

Size: 16 inches (38 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and gravel containing areas near coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 130 feet (1 – 40 m) where it feeds mainly on small benthic invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
