Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Christmas Island to the Philippines to Samoa, and north to Southern Japan, and south the Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral rich outer lagoons and seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 6 – 85 feet (2 – 25 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
