Range: Atlantic Ocean: Mauritania to the Congo, including the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and Madeira.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow rocky reefs and usually found between depths of 3 – 6 feet (1 – 2 m) where it mainly feeds upon algae and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
