Range: Eastern Atlantic Ocean: Spain and Portugal; also Mediterranean Sea and Western Indian Ocean: Natal to Knysna in South Africa.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow rocky shorelines often on steep walls, and usually found between depths of 3 – 25 feet (1 – 8 m) where it mainly feeds upon algae and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
