Range: Circumtropical

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal zones and will grow on rocks, sand and mud, even in brackish water areas, and its somewhat tubular shaped branches can attain heights of about 12 inches (30 cm).

Aquarium Suitability: Not known in the aquarium trade, and might be an excellent food source for herbivorous fish.
