Range: Circumtropical

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal sheltered zones and usually attached by holdfasts and consumed by sea slugs/sea hares and manatees in local areas.

Aquarium Suitability: Can be grown under wide lighting and temperature conditions, including floating in a refugium, as it's a good food source for herbivorous fish.
