Range: Eastern Atlantic Ocean: Portugal, Spain, Morocco and the Mediterranean Sea.

Size: 6 inches (15 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy bottom areas with some algae covered rocks and usually found between depths of 3 – 50 feet (1 – 15 m) where it mainly feeds upon algae and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
