Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Philippines north to Southern Japan, and south to New Caledonia and Samoa.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons and seaward reefs waiting for unwary prey and usually found between depths of 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it mainly feeds upon fish scales and mucus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
