Range: Indian Ocean: Southern Angola eastward to India.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal zones and shallow coastal reefs and usually found between depths of 3 – 15 feet (1 – 5 m) where it mainly feeds upon filamentous algae, diatoms, tiny crustaceans, and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
