Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Maldives to Palau and New Caledonia.

Size: 6 inches (15 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits deep rocky reef-slopes at depths of 400 – 1000 feet (120 – 300 m) and feeds on benthic invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Unfortunately there is extremely little information on this species, which has never been collected for the trade. Should you have some data on this species, possibly a photo, share it with me so I may post it for others to see.

FYI: Those in this genus are usually referred to as ‘Longnose Butterflyfish.’
