Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Indonesia to Hawaiian and Tuamotu Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to Lord Howe and Rapa Islands.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow coral rich lagoons, back reefs, reef flats, and fore-reef slopes at depths between 10 to 100 feet (3 – 30 m) and feeds only on SPS stony corals.

General Husbandry: A very attractive species, as its body is almost completely bright yellow with numerous horizontal blue lines, black eye band, black mouth, blue peduncle, and black edged tail.

Yet because of its diet of only live coral polyps, its best this species not be collected for the aquarium trade.
