Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Widespread – East Africa to Line Islands, north to Southern Japan and south to Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 7 inches - 18 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow areas over rich coral growths at depths between 6 - 80 feet (2 - 25 m)

General Husbandry: A very attractive species, as its body is whitish blue with curved to oblique black bands, a black eye band edged in yellow, and another similar band on the snout.

Because of its diet of only live coral polyps, its best this species not be collected for the aquarium trade.
