Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan to Taiwan, and New Caledonia and Kermadec Islands.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky areas on inshore reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 30 feet (1 – 10 m) where it feeds during evening hours on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Has a silvery body with four black narrow horizontal lines. As of 2016, not yet collected for the trade. However, should it become available, its aquarium husbandry would be similar to that of A. angustatus. Simply open that species to view those recommendations.

Found in slightly cooler waters than what most hobbyists maintain, 67 - 74°F (19 – 23°C).
