Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Sumatra to Solomon Islands, and north to the Philippines.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits deep and shallow lagoons with coral heads, and found in small groups under ledges during the day. Usually found at depths between 6 – 85 feet (2 – 25 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a pale tannish body with numerous narrow dark horizontal lines and thick black bands on the face, with one through the eye. As of 2016, not yet purposely collected for the trade. However, should it become available, its aquarium husbandry would be similar to that of A. angustatus. Simply open that species to view those recommendations.
