Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Philippines to New Caledonia, north to Southern Japan, and south to Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sheltered lagoons, reefs and bays, and found near coral heads, crevices and caves during the day. Usually found at depths between 3 – 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a silvery, somewhat rosy body with a short black bar from the snout to the eye, a black spot on the upper front body and a black spot on the caudal peduncle.

As of 2016, not yet purposely collected for the trade. However, should it become available, its aquarium husbandry would be similar to that of A. angustatus. Simply open that species to view those recommendations.
