Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Natal, South Africa and east to the Western Pacific Ocean.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a greyish silvery body with a black stripe from the snout to the gill plate. As of 2016, not collected for the trade.
