Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan to Western Australia and the southern Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 5 inches (14 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits caves and crevices on inshore coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a rosy/silvery body often with two mottled dark vertical bands on the mid body. As of 2016, not collected for the trade.
