Range: Western Pacific Ocean: East China Sea.

Size: 4 inches (9 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits deep rocky areas at depths between 400 to 680 feet (120 – 205 m) where it feeds mainly on planktonic crustaceans (copepods, mysis, and shrimp larvae), and fish eggs.

General Husbandry: Not collected the trade due to its very limmited collection areas and depth, and that it’s somewhat drab, having an upper body that is brownish, with lower areas mostly whitish with some brown spots/patches near the rear of the body, and a yellow dorsal and tail.
