Range: Western Indian Ocean: Southern Red Sea to Gulf of Aden and Gulf of Oman.

Size: 3 inches (7 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore coral reefs at depths between 3 to 30 feet (1 - 10 m) and feeds on zooplankton, benthic invertebrates and algae.

General Husbandry: Quite drab, having a brownish black body.

Not collected for the hobby.
