Range: Southwest Pacific Ocean: New Zealand and southern Australia.

Size: 40 inches (100 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore rocky and coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 - 150 feet (1 – 45 m) where it sucks up the substrate to feed on various invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Has tannish body with several slanted broad dark brown bands. Not collected for the trade.
